The Great Wave!

In Art, the children have been exploring and recreating 'The Great Wave' by Hokusai.  

This week they have used watercolours.  Mrs Ryan taught the children how to use different techniques such as: wet on wet, wet on dry and salt.

Keep an eye out for pictures of the final masterpieces!

Wow! What a busy week!  The children have worked incredibly hard and especially in Maths conquering some very tricky addition!

Mrs Ryan's group focused on the place value of 2-digit numbers before moving on to addition.  They used a range of resources to aid them in their learning...bead- strings, place value cards, and 100 squares.  Well done boys!
