Week in Review: Nov 19th - 23rd by Rosie & Alisha!

Monday
In Maths we were looking at adding and subtracting.

Tuesday
Today we began looking at our new class book, Tutankhuman. Tutankhuman was an Egyptian boy-king that was buried in a tomb.  Howard Carter has spent 5 years searching for it!

Wednesday
In English we were writing ancient Egyptian facts and had to create their family tree!

Thursday
In Maths, Year 3 were working on 4 & 8 times tables, while Year 4 were tackling the 6, 7 and 9 times tables.  We also had a little mental maths quiz about lots of maths topics.  Some of us found the questions about the calendar a bit tricky.  So we will be looking at this a bit more closely.
We also began making some Christmas decorations for the corridor ahead of the Christmas Fair next Friday!  We are working in small groups to make Santa's team of reindeer!
WE GOT OUR PEN PALS LETTERS FROM CANADA TODAY!

Friday
This morning we were taught by Miss Wones!  Mrs. Pell and lots of other teachers were away learning cool new ways to teach us Maths!  Miss Wones had to give us our first Headstart Spelling Test!
Mrs. Pell was back after lunch, so in Spanish we did some more Spanish ER Verb work and we began learning a new Spanish song called A Pasear.  Finally, we had News & Sunshine time with Mr. Hall.
