In our Science lessons, we have been finding 

out all about forces and magnets.

These pictures show how the class worked together to investigate: How do different surfaces affect how far a toy car goes?  As a class, we decided how we were going to try and answer this question, what equipment we would need and how to make it a fair test.  Mrs Sales supervised but the children set everything up, decided how to take measurements and were in charge of entering the data into a table!                                                                    

Here are a few more pictures from last week when we had our special visitor in to talk to the children about WW2.  In the afternoon, children took part in a workshop of 4 activities.  They learnt how to milk a cow the same way the women's land army did; they played with authentic 1940s toys, dressed up in different uniforms (naval, RAF, fire fighters etc); and they tried on different style gas masks!
